- (ANTI-)
The latest album (and first in six years) from this Oakland hip hop group led by rapper/activist Boots Riley is their most musically diverse and aggressive, combining their slinky funk-rap sound with New Wave, punk, hard rock, chamber-pop, soul and more with help from a variety of special guests including Killer Mike, Das Racist, Vernon Reid, Bhi Bhiman, Jolie Holland and Joe Henry, though the focus remains on Riley’s uncompromising, politically charged lyrics. 10/26/2012
