This New York band features ex-members of The Black Lips and Golden Triangle. Their second album (and first for Seattle’s Hardly Art Records) is a fierce set of dark, psych-tinged garage-punk recalling bands like the Stooges, the Birthday Party, the Scientists and the Gun Club, with a grimy, noir-ish sound combining hypnotic guitar riffs, ritualistic tom toms, occasional honking sax, ominous vocals and seedy lyrics. 5/11/2012
