The Nashville-via-Akron, OH duo’s seventh studio album is the band’s most vibrant, energetic and just plain rocking record. Produced by Danger Mouse (who also produced their 2008 album Attack & Release and last year’s breakthrough single “Tighten Up”), El Camino is bright, punchy and loaded with killer pop hooks, driven home with a tight blend of fuzzed-out guitar riffs, driving rhythms and splashes of instrumental color including organ, synths, chimes, bells and handclaps. 12/5/2011
