- (Cherrytree/Interscope)
The Toronto singer-songwriter’s fourth album is a gorgeous-sounding set of intimate torch-pop and bluesy folk-rock, featuring dynamic, expansive arrangements delicately textured with acoustic and electric guitars, piano, strings, horns, woodwinds, backing vocals and a variety of percussion accompanying her elastic, subtly soulful vocals on a variety of melancholy, emotionally stirring songs that often use nature imagery to tap into universal emotions. 10/7/2011
