The debut album from Copenhagen-based electronic producer Steven Jess Borth II (aka CHLLNGR) is an intoxicating set of icy, seductive bass music that seamlessly blends post-dubstep, eerie witch-house, fractured R&B, moody instrumental hip-hop, and haunted dub-rooted beats. While four tracks feature credited guest vocalists that add an enhanced pop sensibility, Haven is propelled throughout with ominous, ghostly, pitch-shifted vocal samples. 9/9/2011
