This British band’s excellent third album is a warmer, more pop-oriented version of 2009’s stunning Primary Colours that brings a smoother, more melodic New Wave sensibility to that album’s brooding blend of ‘80s post-punk, goth-pop and shoegazer rock, with prominent echoes of ‘80s New Wave acts like Simple Minds, Psychedelic Furs and Echo & the Bunnymen on dreamy pop anthems that float along on billowing clouds of symphonic synths, atmospheric guitar textures and occasional horn riffs. 7/26/2011
