This British band’s impressive third album is a more subdued and spare-sounding take on their rhythmic art-pop, with a moody, atmospheric sound combining hypnotic rhythms, gently ringing guitars and electronic textures with sexually charged lyrics and alternating lead vocals that contrast Tom Fleming’s husky voice with Hayden Thorpe’s tremulous falsetto (which he’s thankfully now using with more restraint and control). 5/10/2011
