This Seattle band's highly anticipated second album doesn't disappoint -- more complex and musically ambitious than their stunning 2008 debut album, Helplessness Blues is filled with baroque, achingly gorgeous folk-pop featuring intricate arrangements that use a rich array of mostly acoustic instrumentation to accompany Robin Pecknold's introspective lyrics and pure tenor, sent soaring skyward with prominent support from the band's warm, celestial harmonies. 4/14/2011
