This San Francisco band went into an actual studio for their 3rd album and ended up with a cleaner, crisper (but far from over-produced) sound that finally does justice to their ‘60s-tinged garage-rock spiked with folk, psychedelia, surf, spaghetti western and a bit of Spectorian grandeur, featuring a classic-sounding blend of jangly, reverb-laden guitars and potent pop hooks. 11/12/2010
