The solo debut from the frontman for San Francisco’s Two Gallants is a first-rate set of melodic, introspective folk-rock. More streamlined than Two Gallants’ dynamic three albums, We Live on Cliffs is an often-gorgeous record containing Stephens’ finest collection of songs to date, fleshed out by a stellar supporting cast and Stephens’ Dylanesque croon. 9/17/2010
