The debut album from this Baltimore-based band led by Jana Hunter (who previously released a couple of solo albums of dark psych-folk) is an excellent set of atmospheric indie-rock incorporating elements of post-punk, shoegazer psych-rock, German prog-rock, Yo La Tengo and the Velvet Underground on brooding, low end-heavy songs with ringing, distorted guitars and propulsive, occasionally motorik rhythms. 7/30/2010
