The 2nd album from this Portland-via-Alaska band improves upon their debut with more fully formed songs and confident musicianship, along with stronger production courtesy of the Decemberists’ Chris Funk. Their acoustic goth-roots sound uses a variety of colorful instrumentation to flesh out their menacing, doom-filled songs. 5/21/2009
