- (Slumberland)
Like fellow New York bands the Vivian Girls and Crystal Stilts, this young 4-piece takes time-honored influences like Scottish twee-pop, early shoegaze, the Sarah Records catalog and Phil Spector and combines them into their own classic-sounding pop songs, with fuzzed-over and distorted jangly guitars contrasted with sweet boy-girl harmonies and irrepressible pop melodies. 1/14/2009
