- (XL)
This New Jersey band debuts with a raging album of anthemic indie-punk, combining lo-fi production with soaring E Street Band arrangements, smart, heart-on-sleeve lyrics and raw, howling vocals reminiscent of a more punkish Conor Oberst. One of the more impressive and just plain exciting indie-rock albums of the past year, it was originally issued on Troubleman in May 2008, but has now been re-mastered and re-released by XL. 1/13/2009
