Splitting the difference between the aggressive urgency of their excellent debut album and the more measured and polished follow-up, this British band’s 3rd album is their most fully-realized work yet, featuring typically smart, empathetic lyrics and a huge, epic sound that transforms their spiky post-punk into heroic anthems reminiscent of Arcade Fire at their best. 1/18/2008
