The Icelandic group’s latest album is actually comprised of two EPs. The Hvarf EP is an electric set featuring 3 previously unrecorded songs along with radical reinterpretations of 2 others from their debut album, while the Heim EP features live acoustic versions of 6 songs taken from their 4 previous albums. While Heim provides an intriguing different take on their music, much of the band’s thrilling dynamics are muted. On the other hand, Hvarf is prime Sigur Ros. 10/25/2007
