After the relatively subdued Lullabies to Paralyze, the 5th album from Josh Homme & co. finds them getting back to a more overtly rocking sound. The band’s in top form here, combining typically loud and brutally hard guitar riffs with imaginative, intricately crafted arrangements and more prominent use of motorik prog-rock rhythms. 6/5/2007
