This is Toronto native Shaw-Ham Liem and this is his fourth release. It's a very nice album of upbeat and highly melodic electronic. Liem does all the programming and plays synths, organ, piano, guitar, and drums and has guest musicians on three of the tracks playing woodwinds and additional guitars and drums. He layers the electronics and acoustic instruments to lovely effect, creating a set of intricate and emotionally engaging songs. There's also a nice range of tempos and moods from song to song – from more kinetic and joyous to more mellow and pretty. *This review done with help from Alex Ruder 4/10/2006
