The latest album from the former frontwoman with ‘Til Tuesday is a concept album set in the 1970s that tells the story of a boxer and his girlfriend and their struggles with love and addiction. Produced by Joe Henry, the album has a strong ‘70s vibe, with straightforward rock accompaniment and a live, warm sound. As usual, Mann fleshes out her literate songs with some gorgeous melodies. 3/29/2005
