Dedicated to the last of the remaining independent radio stations, this Portland-based singer-songwriter’s fourth album is a concept album about the power of radio, specifically “childhood memories of a utopian radio power,” according to the artist. It’s another first-rate collection of dusty indie-folk with an impressive supporting cast, including Jim James (My Morning Jacket), Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley), Howe Gelb (Giant Sand), Vic Chesnutt and other indie-music notables. 1/24/2005
