Kings of Convenience: Riot on an Empty Street
Buy! - (Astralwerks)
This Norwegian duo’s official follow-up to their excellent 2001 debut album Quiet Is The New Loud is another enchanting set of hushed folk-pop. The sound is warm, intimate and uncluttered, featuring gentle two-part harmonies floating above strummed acoustic guitars along with some occasional orchestral instrumentation and even a bit of banjo at times. Still, the focus is on their sublime singing and gorgeous melodies. 7/20/2004 - Don Yates
