The first solo studio album from this former member of the Be Good Tanyas (her previous solo release was a collection of demo recordings) is a haunting set of acoustic folk, jazz and blues. Holland has a bewitching, elastic voice with a smoky tinge that meshes well with the dusky originals and a couple of traditional tunes she offers up here. 4/5/2004
