This eccentric Brazilian psychedelic band’s bizarre musical experiments and wickedly irreverent attitude not only had a significant impact on their fellow Tropicalia pioneers, but their innovative blend of brazilian pop, psychedelic rock and avant-garde experimentation has also influenced a variety of pomo-rock heavyweights, from David Byrne and Stereolab to Beck and Nirvana. This collection compiles some of the best recordings from their first five albums, recorded between 1968-72.
