Beck has announced the follow-up to his 2017 Grammy-winning record Colors. Titled Hyperspace, the record is due out at “an as yet undetermined point in the space time continuum.” Very mysterious!

Beck also shared the lead single off the record, “Saw Lightning.” The song features Pharrell Williams as co-songwriter and producer, as well as a contributor on drums, keyboards, and backing vocals. It’s an energetic track that takes influences from a wide range of sources, making it difficult to pin down genre-wise.

Hyperspace is the 14th studio album from Beck, who recently contributed to the Music Inspired by the Film Roma compilation with a reimagined version of Colourbox’s “Tarantula.”

Beck will join Spoon and Cage the Elephant for the North American “Night Running Tour” this summer, with a date at the Gorge on Saturday, July 13.

Listen to “Saw Lightning” as well as Beck’s 2017 KEXP interview with DJ Morgan following the release of Colors, below.
