Founded in 2007 and launched in 2008, the original intent behind Record Store Day was to encourage people to support their local independent shops, which were beginning to die off in the internet age, and to inspire them to continue to patronize these mom-and-pop all year around. So, this Saturday, April 13th, head out on the town and appreciate all the lovingly-curated shops around Seattle. KEXP's Kelsey Brannan, Afternoon Show Producer & Project Manager, has compiled a list of events happening tomorrow. Check out the list below and begin to plot your Record Store Day attack! (Still wondering what to hunt for? Don't forget to check our list of notable releases and our staff & DJ picks!)
