Mac DeMarco has announced that a new album is on its way in 2019. The currently untitled record will be the debut release on DeMarco’s new self-run label aptly and straightforwardly called Mac’s Record Label. While we don’t know when it will drop, DeMarco has shared a run of tour dates behind it which includes a two-night stop in Seattle on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 at Showbox SoDo.
DeMarco’s last album was 2017’s This Old Dog. He announced Mac’s Record Label back in August, saying: “My friend Jen who plays drums in The Courtneys gave me the name.” Up until now, DeMarco has released music via Captured Tracks. Mac’s Record Label will be distributed through Universal Music Group’s Caroline.
