The Dodos, the duo of Meric Long and Logan Kroeber, have announced their first album in three years, Certainty Waves. Releasing on Oct. 12 via Polyvinyl, the album comes on the heels of the 10-year anniversary of the band’s breakout sophomore record Visitor. Made after a breather from The Dodos, in which Kroeber focused on work and Long coped with the death of his father and the birth of his first child, the album is described as their “midlife crisis record” by Long. “Who we thought we were, how mistaken we were, how an interference in the trajectory can flip your understanding of what came before.”

The band has also shared the lead single, “Forum." The duo has also announced a tour behind the album, which sees them make a stop in Seattle on Thursday, October 25 to play the Tractor Tavern with Prism Tats. Below, listen to “Forum” and watch The Dodos’ KEXP in-studio session with Cheryl Waters from 2015.
