Local label Freakout Records has made the first round lineup announcement for Freakout Festival’s sixth year. Headlining the festival this year is All Them Witches, The Grizzled Mighty, Night Beats, Acid Tongue, Flaural, and Sneaks. The formerly psychedelic festival continues to embrace a wider spectrum of genres, with R&B singer Falon Sierra and producer (and KEXP DJ) OCnotes also appearing on the lineup. This year, the festival is incorporating new venues, all ages stages, and curation from Chilly/El Sonido, Stas THEE Boss, and Sea Witch out of San Francisco. Started as the Psychedelic Holiday Freakout Festival in 2013, this annual event has been held in different neighborhoods throughout Seattle each year, bringing together curators from all around the city's diverse music and arts community. In 2018, The Freakout returns to Ballard from November 16-17th. The full lineup, which promises far more local artists, will made in mid September. Tickets are available now.
