Chan Marshall has announced that a new Cat Power album will be released this fall. Titled Wanderer, it’s her first record in six years, following 2012’s Sun. The album tracklist was shared, which includes a feature from Lana Del Rey on the song “Woman.” Marshall says this about the new record:  “The course my life has taken in this journey — going from town to town, with my guitar, telling my tale; with reverence to the people who did this generations before me. Folk singers, blues singers, and everything in between. They were all wanderers, and I am lucky to be among them.” Wanderer is out October 5 via Domino Records. Cat Power will be in Seattle on Saturday, November 17 to play the Showbox. [ Pitchfork ]

Animal Collective have a lot up their sleeves right now. They recently announced a new visual double album titled Tangerine Reef and are currently on tour performing their seminal 2004 album Sung Tongs in full. At last night’s show in Atlanta, AC members Panda Bear (who was celebrating his 40th birthday that evening) and Avey Tare ended the show with a new song called “Sea of Light.” The song doesn’t appear on the tracklist for Tangerine Reef so its unclear whether the song is a part of a bigger project. Catch Animal Collective at the Moore Theatre on Sunday, July 29. Tangerine Reef drops August 17. [ Consequence of Sound ]

Justin Vernon has shared an unfinished song he made with Megafaun’s Phil Cook called “Ate Up All Thier Cake.” Vernon uploaded it to his new collaborative publishing platform PEOPLE with the description: “This is a rough draft of a song Phil and Justin worked on last summer. We want to finish it but haven’t had time in the same space to do so. Were open to ideas.” Vernon’s last Bon Iver album was 2017’s 22, A Million. [ The Line of Best Fit ]

Frankie Cosmos have shared a video for “Duet,” off of their latest album, Vessel. The humorous video was directed by Eliza Doyle and sees bandleader Greta Kline fall in love with a CPR test dummy. Previously, the band shared a similarly entertaining video for “Apathy.” Recently, they unveiled a collaborative DIY project titled An Induced Album in which fans can make their own Frankie Cosmos songs via a set of instructions. Frankie Cosmos will play the Neptune Theatre on Saturday, November 10 with Kero Kero Bonito. [ SPIN ]

Virginia rapper/R&B singer D.R.A.M. has surprise-released a new EP called That’s A Girl’s Name. It’s his first project since last year’s Christmas EP #1HappyHoliday. Since then, he’s shared collaborations with Diplo, Charlie Heat, Chromeo, and Neil Young. That’s A Girl’s Name is comprised of three tracks: “WWYD?,” “Best Hugs,” and “Sundress,” all recorded with producers Josh Abraham and Ogilee. D.R.A.M. released his debut full-length, Big Baby D.R.A.M., in 2016. [ Stereogum ]
