Mitski has announced new North American fall tour dates behind her upcoming album, Be the Cowboy. The 42-date tour includes a stop in Seattle on Wednesday, October 31 at the Showbox. Be the Cowboy is out August 17 via Dead Oceans and features the previously-released single “Geyser.” Mitski has said of the album, "I had been on the road for a long time, which is so isolating, and had to run my own business at the same time. A lot of this record was me not having any feelings, being completely spent but then trying to rally myself and wake up and get back to Mitski." [ Under the Radar ]

Kim Gordon’s post-Sonic Youth band Body/Head with Bill Nace have announced a new album titled The Switch. It’s the duo’s second studio album, following 2013’s Coming Apart, and will drop July 13 via Matador Records. Today, they’ve shared the first single from the album, a scuzzy, white noise-filled, experimental track called “You Don’t Need.” [ Pitchfork ]

Over the weekend, Jack White headlined the Governors Ball and used the occasion to call out Donald Trump. During a rousing performance of the White Stripes song “Icky Thump,” White proclaimed, after the line “Well, you can’t be a pimp/ And a prostitute too,” “That’s for you, Trump! You can’t be a president and a prostitute, too, Trump! Icky Trump! Icky Trump! Icky Trump! Icky Trump!” This isn’t the first time White has used the song to call out Trump. In 2016, during the presidential election, White sold “Icky Trump” t-shirts in protest of the then-candidate. White released Boarding House Reach earlier this year. Catch him at WaMu Theatre on Monday, August 13. [ Consequence of Sound ]

The first trailer for the Thom Yorke-soundtracked film Suspiria has been revealed by Amazon Studios today. Directed by Call Me By Your Name’s Luca Guadagnino, the film is a remake of Dario Argento’s 1977 Italian horror classic. The trailer features no words, only a series of unnerving clips on top of Yorke’s score. This will be the Radiohead frontman’s first feature film score. [ Stereogum ]
