Pearl Jam’s Jeff Ament Dissects New Solo Album Heaven/Hell

You might know Jeff Ament from a band or two. Not only has he held down the bass guitar for Pearl Jam over the last 28 years, he was also a core member of classic grunge acts like Green River, Mother Love Bone, Temple of the Dog, as well as his recent project RNDM. Now Ament has released his third solo album, Heaven/Hell, out now via Pearl Jam’s Monkeywrench Records.

In celebration of the new LP, Ament stopped by The Afternoon Show with DJ Kevin Cole on May 9th for a guest DJ set, and to debut several tracks from the new album, including songs that inspired the recordings and just some of his favorite new music. Ament and Cole also discussed the Pearl Jam Home Shows coming up August 8 & 10 at Safeco Field, and the new Pearl Jam exhibit opening at MoPOP this August. Listen below:
