Today, post-punkers Protomartyr and Preoccupations have released their split 7” covering each other’s songs. Titled Telemetry At Howe Bridge, the 7” is out now on Jagjaguwar. We already heard Protomartyr’s take on Preoccupations’ “Forbidden” and now we get to hear how the latter has reinterpreted former’s “Pontiac 87.”

Originally featured on 2015’s The Agent Intellect, the sparse, churning track is the perfect canvas for Preoccupations to inject their own flavor into it. The two bands are hitting the road together this month with a date in Seattle on Sunday, December 16 at the Crocodile.

Listen to “Pontiac 87” and watch Preoccupations’ KEXP in-studio performance from May below.
