Festival Screenings:Thursday, June 1 at 7:00 PM - Triple Door
Two of our favorite local non-profits are combining forces for one incredible night of music. Northwest Film Forum's "Puget Soundtrack" series pairs local bands with films of their choosing to perform a unique, live soundtrack. Tonight, Thursday, June 1st, they bring the concept to the Seattle International Film Festival for a special evening with the band Prom Queen. Prom Queen are known for their '60s-style, surf rock -- a style they call "Doom-Wop," which is also the title of their upcoming third album. And tonight's films will be supplied by local b-movie archivists, Something Weird. The clips will feature everything from "classic burlesque reels, drive-in trailers, ephemeral classroom films, and LSD-inspired oddities." You won't want to miss this special one-night-only engagement!
