KEXP

This Saturday, March 11th, MoPOP hosts this year's finals of Sound Off!. KEXP will broadcast the competition live on air as part of Audioasis, our local music show. The pairing is perfect, as not only is Sound Off! the Northwest’s premiere 21-and-under battle of the bands, but many past artists have achieved greater fame and wound up in regular KEXP airplay, like recent finalists Dave B, Manatee Commune, Naked Giants, Maiah Manser and Fauna Shade. We look to Sound Off! each year for the future of Northwest music.

The promising batch of 2017 finalists include Seattle singer-songwriters Falon Sierra and Jason McCue, Federal Way indie rock outfit The Good Weird and Tacoma electronic artist Torpoise. Here, they each tell you why they should win:

This year, KEXP invited the finalists into our studio to perform two songs. You can watch one song from each finalist below and check out the rest on KEXP's YouTube channel. Then, go here to discover how you can see them all live and in-person, by attending the finals this Saturday at MoPOP.
