  • We're days away from an exclusive, intimate solo performance with Bob Mould this Saturday, April 16th at KEXP's New Home Grand Opening! Should we all stop and sing the lyrics of the track "Hold On" to him, like the people in this video directed by Alicia J. Rose do? Watch the clip below. "Hold On" can be found on his most recent full-length, Patch The Sky, out now on Merge Records. [Stereogum]

  • Is there anything St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) can't do? This Spring, the Grammy Award-winning musician will get behind the camera for her directorial debut on the horror anthology film XX. The female-driven collection of shorts will each be directed by a woman and will feature a female protagonist. Clark's segment was co-written and produced by Roxanne Benjamin, a veteran of the horror genre whose previous credits include V/H/S, V/H/S/2, and Southbound. "I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to explore the genre-film medium," Clark said, via a press release. Stay tuned for a release date; this should be good. [Spin]

Listen below. No release date yet, but it seems likely the new album will be released by frontman James Mercer's label, Aural Apothecary. [Pitchfork]

  • The Last Shadow Puppets -- a collaboration between Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner and Miles Kane -- stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers last night to perform the track "Bad Habits" off their latest, Everything You’ve Come to Expect. Watch Turner tear it up on the tambourine below. The duo are heading to Coachella later this month, but no treks up North, as far as we can see on their tour schedule. [Pitchfork]
