  • Ugh, not again: another beloved local musician has been the victim of theft. Producer/musician extraordinaire Erik Blood had his South Seattle studio robbed yesterday. He reports on Facebook, "The thieves attempted to remove the door to the studio, but were only able to pry it open a small amount, hence the lack of items missing, though they removed our monitors only to leave them on the floor but taking the power cables." Check out the list of missing equipment at The Stranger, and keep an eye out for these items at local pawn shops. [The Stranger]

  • Portland psych group Unknown Mortal Orchestra will release their third album, Multi-Love, on May 26th via Jagjaguwar Records. Stream the title track below. They'll be playing Saturday, May 9th at Barboza. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Local legends Built to Spill have announced: they'll be releasing their eighth studio album this April, titled Untethered Moon. It'll be the band's first full-length since 2009's There Is No Enemy. No Seattle show dates (yet), but you can catch them on March 27th at the Treefort Music Festival in Boise, Idaho. [Spin]

  • Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis stopped by Late Night With Seth Myers last night in support of his latest solo release, Tied to a Star. For the online-exclusive clip, he and late night bandleader Fred Armisen performed his cover of Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You."
