  • This is old news to you if you were listening to The Morning Show on KEXP this morning when DJ John Richards presented the world radio debut, but today we've got a new song from local faves Deep Sea Diver. Frontwoman Jessica Dobson stopped by the station this morning to share the track "One By One" (which you can stream below), and informs us that her next EP, Always Waiting, will be out September 2nd. Deep Sea Diver will also be playing a show on Friday, September 5th at the Fremont Abbey Arts Center. [Stereogum]

  • You've already been hearing these songs all over the KEXP airwaves, but today we've got a stream of Katie Kate's upcoming release, Nation, to share. The album officially comes out tomorrow, and you can celebrate with us at this Friday's Concerts at the Mural, as Katie Kate joins Yppah and IG88 for a Decibel Festival line-up at Seattle Center. [Stereogum]

  • Philly-based popsters A Sunny Day in Glasgow have shared yet another track from their UK-only EP, No Death. (Hear the previous track on the KEXP Blog here, a remix by Kurt Feldman of Ice Choir/The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.) Check out the non-album track "Almost Like Emotion (The Drop)" below. [Pitchfork]

  • And let's just make it a "New Music Monday" with another new song, this time from California dreamer Avi Buffalo. Stream the "glorious orch-pop sheen" of "Memories of You" below. The full-length, At Best Cuckold, will be out on September 9th on Sub Pop Records. [Consequence of Sound]

  • Lovers of beautiful noise, rejoice: not only will Thurston Moore be releasing a new album this fall, but his backing band reportedly consists of fellow-former Sonic Youth'er Steve Shelley, My Bloody Valentine's Debbie Googe, and English guitarist James Sedwards. The next album, titled The Best Day, is tentatively due September 23 via Matador, and it should come as no surprise that it's said to be a departure from his previous acoustic-based releases. Moore will hopefully bring this line-up to Neumos on October 4th. [Spin]
