Support Northwest Folklife — a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for people to appreciate and participate in the evolving folk traditions of the Pacific Northwest, and presenter of the Northwest Folklife Festival since 1972 — and celebrate the season with a full day and evening of music, dancing, friends, and food on January 25 at the first annual Folklife Winter Fireside Party at The Vera Project.

Three stages of string bands, indie-roots, and blues and gospel music (not to mention a fiddle showcase and even a bit of square dancing) kick off at 2pm. In addition to the main stage bands Ravenna Woods, The Sojourners, The Shivas, Jason Dodson and Kevin Barrans of the Maldives, and much more, the festivities feature special acoustic performances at the Vera Gallery, and the KEXP sponsored Folklife Fireside Tent, a cozy, outdoor heated fire-lit space for jams and conversation with musicians.
