It's been three years since we've heard new music from Gregg Gillis, better know by his stage name Girl Talk and the wait will soon be over. He has enlisted the help of rapper Freeway for the upcoming album, Broken Ankles, which will feature Gillis' signature mash-up style. The two of them announced their collaboration along with a brand new song "Tolerate" last week at a show in Brooklyn. [CoS]

Our thoughts go out to the friends and family of Philip Chevron, guitarist for The Pogues, who died Tuesday of cancer at 56. Besides playing guitar with the band from after their first album onward, he wrote one of their most beloved songs, "Thousands Are Sailing". There are a lot of excuses bands make for canceling tour dates, but kidnapping has to be one of the most unbelievable. Yet for Spanish band Delorean, this frighteningly real scenario has caused them to cancel the first week of their U.S. tour, which had included a show in Seattle (and a session on KEXP) tomorrow. The band members themselves were unhurt, and only "virtually" kidnapped, but one family member was contacted by a gang demanding ransom. Read the full, crazy story at Spin

Kurt Vile is getting ready to release a three-song EP called Jamaican Plain on November 4. The collection is a collaboration between Vile and his friend Robert Robinson, also known as Sole Eros. The two recorded these tracks back the early 2000s and they hadn't seen the light of day until now. Check out the first preview from the EP, "Serum," below. [CoS]

Girl group legend TLC will drop 20, a greatest hit collection just a few days before the debut of their VH1 biopic CrazySexyCool (October 21). The album will also include a brand new track called, "Meant To Be" which you can listen to now. It's like a time warp straight back to 1995. [Pitchfork]

Brooklyn band TEEN performed their song "Why, Why, Why" live for Snacky Tunes Volume 4, a music series by brothers Darin and Greg Bresnitz of IFC's Dinner With The Band. Sometimes a band's unique sound doesn't exactly translate when they perform live, but that's not the case here. The all-female quartet sounds amazing. [Stereogum]
