There is nothing extinct about The Dodos. In fact, they've been playing music together consistently since 2005 and are continually evolving. While playing, The Dodos are always changing speeds, messing with time, all the while imbuing an unassuming – yes – confidence, as on their recent single of the same name. During their performance at Doug Fir for KEXP's Musicfest NW boradcast, the San Francisco based duo of singer/guitarist Meric Long and drummer Logan Kroeber were joined by Portland’s own Joe Haege (of Tu Fawning, 31Knots, and Menomena), who provided additional guitars. Together, they jammed and harmonized like friends who’ve been playing for years only can. Watch their performance here:
