LEATHERS is the darkwave side project of visual artist and ACTORS keyboardist, Shannon Hemmett. Based in Vancouver, BC, Hemmett has been in no rush to churn out material for the project.
Our Song of the Day, “Phantom Heart,” is only the third single to be released in the three years that LEATHERS has existed. The pulsing synth-filled song follows 2017’s “Day for Night” and 2016’s debut single “Missing Scene.” In contrast, in the past year ACTORS released the full-length It Will Come To You, the Part Time Punks Session EP, and the single “Mining for Heart.”
