Today's song, featured on The Morning Show with John Richards, is "The Kids" by Sol, a 2018 single on Zilla Music LLC.
WRITTEN BY JASMINE ALBERTSON

Seattle rapper Sol hasn’t released an album since 2016’s The Headspace Traveler, but it seems likely that a new record might be forthcoming. In the past year, the MC has dropped a series of singles including “The Plug,” “If You Don’t Call,” and today's Song of The Day – “The Kids.”

The track is a downtempo slow-burner with Sol spitting rhymes over a repeating guitar riff. A children’s chorus chimes in behind him during the refrain of “Think about the kids,” with the overall message being one of focusing on the future generations rather than political agendas. The song was produced by Elan Wright, Nima Skeemz, and Teal Douville with trombone by Greg Kramer.
