L.A. singer and producer Georgia Anne Muldrow has been making innovative soul for the past decade and a half. Most of it has flown under the radar to the general public but musicians like Madlib, Erykah Badu, and Mos Def have been singing her praises for awhile now. Earlier this year it was announced that Muldrow was signing to Flying Lotus’ label Brainfeeder, which as Brainfeeder points out is “the perfect symbiosis of their musical pathways, heritage and spirituality.” The first single from this signing is “Overload,” which addresses “the process of building loving relationships in spite of the malfunctions of Western society” according to Muldrow. The bouncy R&B single follows her 2015 record A Thoughtiverse Unmarred.
