Tobias Widman from YAST and Felix Hedberg from the World Tour have joined forces to create the project PURRPURR. The Swedish duo has only one song out right now, our Song of the Day “Aldrig Som Dig,” but it’s good enough to have created quite a lot of buzz for the band. The dream pop song debuted in May, perfectly correlated with the hazy summer vibes of the single. The shoegaze guitars and dreamy mood of “Aldrig Som Dig” feels right at home in Sweden, alongside bands like The Radio Dept. and El Perro Del Mar. It’s video, co-directed by Widman and Laimonis Brakss, encapsulates the summer feeling by focusing on Widman hanging out in a swimming pool, walking through a meadow, and climbing a rocky mountain (as well as tripping down it) all while garbed in a full suit. Watch the video below.
