Brooklyn indie rock trio Wild Pink released their sophomore record, Yolk In the Fur, just a couple weeks ago to near-universal rave reviews. The album sees the band change course drastically from their self-titled debut, which was intimate and conversational, to joyous, bursting, War On Drugs-esque rock. Our song of the day, “There Is A Ledger,” borrows synth instrumentals that frontman John Ross meant to use for his side project, Eerie Gaits. It was an early single, following lead single “Lake Erie.” Yolk In The Fur is out now via Tiny Engines.
