Philadelphia five-piece Restorations are releasing their fourth, LP5000, album this September via Tiny Engines (their first for the label since their 2011 self-titled debut). “The Red Door” is a bursting rock anthem about the pains of gentrification. “What remains? Every corner, a new name,” howls frontman Jon Loudon over the rollicking beat. Speaking of the song, Loudon says, ”Philadelphia (and perhaps your town, too?) is rapidly changing. I wonder about where people go when they can’t afford to live in these new neighborhoods anymore. The red doors on all the new buildings feels like some kind of warning sign.” In Seattle, we couldn’t relate more. LP5000 follows 2014’s LP3 and is out September 28. Below, check out the official video for “The Red Door,” directed and edited by Adam Peditto and filmed by Wes Mahon. The video stars two dogs, Charlie and Athena.
