DJ Comment: Shlohmo's Vacation EP was consistently featured on Alex's show this year including tracks from the Vacation EP as well as the Vacation Remixes EP. The Way U Do constantly evolves with new sounds, vocal pieces and that lagging tempo, a 2012 favorite for sure.

DJ Comment: Londoner Romare put out this EP Meditations On Afrocentrism as a tribute to both African and African-American music. It is absolutely incredible what he achieved in just four tracks. Due to copyright restrictions, Romare wasn't allowed to include references to the tracks he sampled on the back of his EP sleeve and therefore, he created a footnote track of a 13 minute vocal "collage" to pay respects.

DJ Comment: This track, Ensemble (Club Mix), was included as part of Girl Unit's double EP totaling six banging club jams. Drum machines and a somewhat robotic beach electronic vibe fill this standout track off the Club Rez EP.
