KEXP 90.3 FM - where the music matters

Active in the anti-apartheid struggle with his music and poetry as a young teenager in the 70's, singer Vusi Mahlesela has emerged as one of the most important artists in the new democratic South Africa. During his first visit to Seattle, Vusi accompanies himself on guitar,and talks about his history and the new South Africa. Listening to his powerful singing, it's easy to know why his first US released CD is simply titled, "The Voice". - J. Kertzer
