KEXP 90.3 FM - where the music matters

Since the 1970's, Oliver Mtukudzi has been one of the leading musicians in Zimbabwe. He's toured the US several times with his band Black Spirits. On his 2005 tour, Mtukudzi stopped by KEXP to perform three beautful solo acoustic songs, including one about Zimbabwe's independence in 1980. In this exclusive interview, Mtukudzi talks about performing along with Bob Marley at the big independance celebration. - J. Kertzer
