KEXP 90.3 FM - where the music matters

French producer Frederic Galliano leads a unique group featuring four talented female vocalists from across Africa: Hadja Kouyate (Guinea), Aissate Balde (Senegal), Mounira Michala (Chad) and Tiqist Mibrat (Ethiopia). Galliano backs up these vocalist with a combination of samples and beats and then adds live kora (a 21-string harp), played by Senegalese musician Ali Boulo Santo. This live performance features four different songs, with each of the four vocalist taking turns in the spotlight. - J. Kertzer
